Hello everyone! Last time I planned a Disney trip was when I took my two kids and their two best friends to Disney World in June of 2001. Been lurking here and decided to make a profile so I could start asking questions and running my silly ideas past a few pros.

We will have a part of 9 or possibly 10 depending if my husband's mother decides to join us. Our group will include our three grand-children, two children, and their spouses. We don't have dates picked out yet since our trip will be next year, but we're looking at somewhere between June 1st and August 15th of 2019. Sooooo much to learn and plan and all so very exciting! Hope we can get it all done in time with your help!

So far we've decided we will be in the Disney World parks 5 days and our first day will be in the Magic Kingdom. We sadly have to forego staying in the parks in favor of the almost free stay we'll be getting at a nearby Good Neighbor hotel thanks to my spouse's business travel for his job. We know this means more travel time, but we'll have 3 bedrooms, three bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a coin laundry at our disposal. Every cloud has its silver lining.

We expect to fly in, spend a day getting settled in at our hotel, then do 5 days in Disney followed by 2-4 in Universal and then fly home the day after our last day in the theme parks. If they still have the shop in the outlet mall that sells all the discounted Disney goodies we'll probably hit that up the afternoon we arrive in Orlando.

We'll start the day our first day in Disney with Bibbidi Bobbity Boo makeovers for all three grandkiddies followed by a few rides and lunch in the castle at Cinderella's Royal Castle. My spouse and I plan to stake out real estate somewhere on the parade route - suggestions welcomed! - and we'll end the day with fireworks viewing. Day 2 will be Epcot, Day 3 AK, and Day 4 we go to Hollywood! Day 5 in Disney we'll mop up whatever we feel we missed. I'm sure it won't be enough time to do everything, but then what would be left for the kids to share with their grand-kids if we did?
