darrel,
I searched my pc for that file and I don't have it. You might want to reload your video drivers. Sorry, I'm not more help.

Frankly, all of the Windows 9x versions and ME are very unstable. The problem with diagnosing a "hang" or "freeze" is that there are just so many different things that can cause this to happen (i.e. software and hardware issues). I don't know of a file, driver or program called "Imapp". But when you say it out loud, it sounds kind of funny. When you press ctrl, alt, and del it shows you the programs running currently running on the computer (both in the forground and background). You may just have too much "junk" running at one time. Generally speaking, I would clean up the hard drive by getting rid of all the temp. files and empty out the trash can for starters. Also, check out the Microsoft Support Center for Win 98:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;EN-US;w98

If all else fails, then go to the Microsoft Knowledge Base and look up the problem. Hope this helps you but if it doesn't then let me know and we'll move onto system resources in the next step.
