Help with Spyware

I have spyware infected in my computer and have no clue on how to get it out. I have a firewall up, but it managed to break through. Now my computer is running slow, pop-ups appear every few seconds and my computer keeps crashing.

Can anyone help.

Get Adaware by Lavasoft.

It's a free program that will scan your computer and get rid of that nasty crap.
It also pays to have an updated virus scan.

My advice is to scan your computer using both tools once a week.

Thank you, both. I used Adaware and it cleaned most of it out. I'm no longer getting the pop-ups or is my computer crashing. :sohappy:

Hi stranger. :wave: You need one more program, SpywareBlaster 3.2. It will prevent a lot of spyware from getting on your computer in the first place. It's better to stop the stuff rather than to remove it later. It's freeware: http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

I use both AdAware and Spybot, cause sometimes one program will find something that the other missed. But they are both extremely good. And I use Mozilla Firefox as a browser to cut down on some of the security flaws in IE.

Mozilla is a decent browser...but I must plug Opera. GREAT BROWSER!
