Help with Spring Break

Well, it turns out my little brother's marching band will be playing at WDW this spring break and the school is starting the planning now. My parents are looking to come down with him and probably stay an additional couple days then fly back. I live in FL and have an AP, how hard is it to book the AP rooms during spring break? I assume the rates/dates haven't been released yet, but has anyone stayed at AP rate during spring break? Also, I mentioned renting DVC points to my mom. Having never done it myself I'm not 100% sure how it all works but could that be a better/cheaper option for them? It will only be the three of them for most of the trip and me a couple nights. They are looking at staying around 3/31 - 4/5 with some flexibility.

I've never been during spring break so any additional planning ideas or tips for that time would be great too. Thanks!

What Spring Break? College, high school, Northern states schedule, tradtional Easter break? What dates are you referring to?
Sorry, that would probably help huh? They are looking at staying 3/31 - 4/5 with a little bit of flexibility. Hopefully that helps, changed the original post too.

i don't think there is any discounts during that time because it is peak season. i don't know the dvc answer, but it is very crowded during spring break. good luck to your brother. he will love it. i Irish danced at epcot back in 2005 with my Irish dance school. it was amazing :)

Just checked historical list of all discounts offered and there have been AP room discounts during that time, initially offered in Jan and Feb, but with certain blackout dates here and there. Hopefully, they'll repeat and the dates will work for you. Good luck!

Thanks everyone!

Another question - For us to be able to get the AP rate rooms, does the res. have to be in my name or can it be in my parents name with me just listed as another person in the group? I have the AP, not my parents.
