Hey every one I am trying to figure every thing out for my September Trip, I need to find places to Eat not in a park on the days I go to Universal and SeaWorld, BUT, on Disney Property. SO far I need 4 days of Dining and I have 1900 Park Fare Breakfast and Whispering Canyon Dinner. Any one have any input? Preferably a 1 Credit and Kid friendly for a 3 year old and 11 month old. If it's character Dining please say which characters are there . Can be Breakfast or Dinner, Thank you!!!!

Where are you staying and will you have a car? Sometimes traveling to different resorts, especially with kiddos, is a pain.
We like Chef Mickey's at the contemporary. It's a character meal with Mickey and the gang.
Anything at Animal Kingdom lodge is great. No characters, but real animals!
Plus there's Disney Springs. The kids might love (or hate) rainforest cafe or the T-Rex restaurant over there.
Our favorite resort meal is Hoop-de-doo at Fort Wilderness, but maybe is best for a Magic Kingdom day. It's dinner only and is a show, not characters though.
Buffets, in general, are great for kids. Lots of choices, and the 11 month old eats free.

You have to do Ohana. I prefer dinner for food but Lilo and Stitch are there for breakfast, I like to book a dinner that allows me to be done and outside by the pool over looking the beach and castle for wishes before heading back to my resort.
I also love Boma (dinner) and Sanna (lunch or dinner) in AKL, considering you have children Boma would be the better option of the 2 but I would check out the menu for Sanna and see if there are things your children will be interested in, it's a great experience and you can see the animals while you eat so be sure to make an ADR for a time where there is daylight :)

As others have said, Chef Mickey's is great for kids (plus it's a buffet), but 'Ohana and Trail's End are great choices as well. There are a lot of options at Disney Springs as well...no character dining, but great food.

We do O'hana on every trip!! It is fantastic! With that said, with younger kids I would stick to the O'hana breakfast, a dinner might be a little much for the younger kids. The lights are turned down a bit, the wait staff are like a bunch of ninja's with delicious meat skewers (you lose track of them for a minute and then BOOM they are right beside you sliding more steak, chicken, and shrimp onto your plate), and the random flares from the grill might startle the younger ones. IMO their character breakfast is the best one on property!! I know Chef Mickey's gives you the fab five but we feel the food is better at O'hana and you get Mickey and Stitch!!

I am a fan of Ohana breakfast. It is a lot of fun, and the food is good. It's not a buffet, but it is all you can eat family style.

Trail's End is a nice buffet dinner, and not that hard to get to, it is a nice boat ride from MK, and the restaurant is close to the boat dock. It is good American food (ribs, pulled pork, pizza, fried chicken, etc.. with a baked potato bar with all the fixin's.)

Cape May dinner is nice, if you love seafood. It has other things, but if you don't love crab legs, crabs and shrimp, you probably won't get your money's worth.

We had a nice dinner at the Captain's Grille. It may be a bit much with an 11mo old.. but we had an 18mo, and she did ok, but was about at her limit.. but it was later in the day than it probably should have been. We had a 4yo with us, and she did fine, they have crayons and a color-able place mat. (service was great, food was better, probably the nicest 1 pt dinner on property.)

O'hana dinner is not to be missed, especially with children. They will bring them chicken fingers if the main meal doesn't work out (it's primarily grilled meat and asian/polynesian accompaniments.

Boma dinner also is not to be missed. A great buffet with some African flavors (plain stuff for kids and adults who choose too)

Chef Mickeys is basic but with characters (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy) and you're in the Contemporary Lobby

For the fourth, I'd choose 1900 Park Faire as you have, or perhaps the Grand Floridian Cafe or Kona in the Poly.
