Help with Carribean Beach!!

These sound like some stupid querstions, but my friend is staying with her family at the Carribean Beach resort this november while I'll be at the Polynesian, and I want to make the Carribean Beach is a real Disney experiance... cause my favorite thing about WDW is seeing newcomers have a blast! Can anyone tell me what the themeing and overall quality are like? Also, does that perimiter road allow visitors' cars, or, hopefully, just the nice WDW busses? Do any of the rooms look out into a parking lot/is parking visible from resort complex? Am I missing something? Thanks A LOT for your replies.. I really appriciate your help!!

Just got back from there. The themeing is of the Carribean islands, As for the rooms faceing the parking lot most that I saw were sheilded with landscaping. The pool is cool themed, As a fort with cannons. Tell your friend to request a room close to the Old Port Royale which is were the resturant is, they can do that now. Overall it was a nice theme resort.

Caribbean Beach Resort is an excellent selection. The overall theme is of the Caribbean Islands, as opposed to the areas of Polynesia that your Resort selection is themed after. Caribbean Beach is really lush and is THE most colorful Resort on property. It has an easy-going, laid back attitude, with hundreds of swaying palm trees and strategically placed hammocks and benches in secluded areas.

The recreation is really fun and ample, and the sights and aromas really transport you away.

The perimter road, Caymen Way, is open to all Guests, though the norm seen is the all-important Disney bussing system. I have read numerous people complain about CBR transportation b/c the Resort is so large, but after our 13 vacations there, we have had only 2 "issues" that were slight at that. Relax and have fun!

Martinique and Trinidad North are closest to the center of the Resort, but are also more heavily trafficked b/c of their location. Barbados and Trinidad South are farthest away and thus most isolated. Aruba and Jamaica are across the lake (ARUBA our favorite) and a pleasant 4-6 mins stroll across the 2 wooden footbridges and tropical oasis island. It's a beautiful location with tremendous views. For an ultimate unobstructed view of the lake (if your friends want to pay a tad extra for a water view) would be to request a room in ARUBA 5256--5261. It's a beautiful view, and an area we always ask for.

I hope your friends really enjoy Caribbean Beach, it has so many warm memories for our family.

Have fun at the Polynesian, too! Love 'Ohanas!! :xmas:
