Help with AKV savanna view

Is the savanna view better in Jambo or Kidani? We are staying in AKV in August in Jambo with savanna view. I have read so much about how beautiful it is and I am really excited but I want to make sure the view is OK. Is there an area to request? How many floors in Kidani? Are the villas at Jambo too high up high to enjoy the animals? Thx

I've read that people think the higher floors make it difficult to see the animals at AKL.
And that may be true if each animal was constantly right in front of your villa.
Sometimes the animals are right there, but reality is they're usually a bit of a ways away, and it's generally better to be higher up to see a further distance.
So I like the higher floors.
All the DVC villas at Jambo are high. You have to request the higher ones at Kidani.
I explored all the savannas at AKL, and each is very nice.
If I had to pick a favorite I'd go with the Sunset savanna that's between Jambo and Kidani. But again, they're all nice.

We prefer to stay in Jambo for the ammenities, but some prefer the newer and slightly larger villas at Kidani.
Either way, it's an amazing resort!

We have stayed at both Kidani and Jambo many times and as far as views go, there really is view that better than the others.

On our last stay at Kidani we faced the Pembe Savanna. It was interesting watching the Okapi right out our window. We also had a view of the pool area. The walk to the pool was not bad and the bus wasn't too much farther.

The differant savanna's typically have differant animals roaming them, so your choice may be dependant on which animals you wish to see.

The biggest differances are the amenities offered at the resorts. For one Jambo has a counter service restaurant and Kidani does not. Kidani has a great kids play (spray) area at the pool and we like the Kidani pool better than Jambo. The busses pick up for the parks first @ Kidani. This is important in the mornings when the busses are full because sometimes there is no room left for everyone when it gets to Jambo. I do like then grandness of the Jambo lobby and Zawadi Marketplace store is far larger than it's Kidani counterpart.

The floor you stay on can really make a differance. This is more prevelant at Jambo since the trees have been growing and filling out for more than 10 years now, so @ Jambo you will definately be in the trees since all of the villas are on the 5th and 6th floors.

Either resort is wonderful in it's own way. In the end we enjoy Kidani slightly more than Jambo, but when we stay @ Kidani, it is on ly a short walk to the Jambo House.

Thanks! I think we will be moving to Kidani :) I was going to wait and see if free dining came around in August because of the amenities in Jambo but I don't think we will see dining before the very end of August.

How many floors is Kidani?
