We have never been to Disney on the 4th. Could use some advice and info. We are planning to see the fireworks at MK. We would like to make ADR at Plaza for dinner but I know the park usually will max out at some point and we dont want to get shut out. I heard that if you have a ADR in the park they will still let you in. True?? Do we need to make it an early dinner? Any "must do" on the 4th would also be appreciated.

Epcot and MK offer the same fireworks on the 3rd.. So I would definitely recommend checking out Epcots on the 3rd, they are our favorite of all shows throughout the year... I think they are amazing!!!

On New Years they where closed to everyone except ADR or Resort Guests. They also told us since opening the new Fantasyland they could allow for about 30,000 more quests. Hope this helps :)

we have been to WDW on July 4 and we are doing it again this year. we did July 3 at MK to see the July 4th fireworks. we did the dessert party as the crowds are big and we didnt want to fight the crowd. We did epcot on the 4th. we are doing the same this year. we are starting at mickeys backyard bbq at 5 pm on the 4th, then heading to epcot. On the 3rd, we are doing all day at MK (early morning CP breakfast, then early dinner at BOG). Cant wait. The only advice i would give is have a plan. it gets crowded.

I have done the 4th of July fireworks several times at MK and quite honestly, it is just too many people packed in one place to be enjoyable. We have taken to watching the fireworks from the beach at the Poly. It is no where near as crowded, you can see the perimeter shots without having to have your head on a swivel and is just a much more enjoyable experience.
