Hello all,
I am driving the wife nuts so I thought I would turn to all of you for help. Since we are all obsessed Mousketeers, I thought who better to help me plan the awesomest family trip!

We will be going for two weeks in either late 2015 or early 2016, so I was hoping to have a little fun with this and do it piece by piece.

Step 1: When to go.
We have narrowed it down to either
a)September 6th thru 19th,
b)November 15th thru 28th,
c)January 10th thru 23rd (2016)

Any reason why you would chose one over the other?
And I apologize if this might be against the rules in any way, just thought Id have some fun with it and save my marriage at the same time.

I'd choose a). MK is decorated for Halloween and you can go to the Halloween party. Park hours aren't quite as short as the others. Typically less maintenance is done as the other times. All 3 are less crowded times but this may be the least. Nov and Jan can be a little cold and the water rides aren't as much fun. It's still warm enough to enjoy the pools and water parks in Sept. Nov, would be next for me, you can catch the Christmas decorations. Jan, isn't bad specially if you have really cold weather where you are from and want a nice escape. September is my favorite time to go.

September is very Very humid and hot and it often rains. The Food and Wine is going on in Epcot. We just returned from a September trip and found it to be pretty crowded, but manageable. The MNSSHP is going on in MK.

January is nice for the lower crowd level, but some attractions are closed for refurb and temps can be cool although some times when we've been there at that time, real nice.

Never been in November.

I recommend A. November you run into Thanksgiving crowds which are insane. January you run into marathons which impact travel to parks. You also run into MLK weekend which is packed. The only drawbacks to Sept are the heat and humidity. It is still brutal at times, tail end of hurricane season. Parks will be much less crowded though and the MNSSHP will start up during your trip. It will also cost much less at that time as well. For the amount of money you will save, the heat is bearable.

I know the feeling. I'm been driving my wife nuts for the past 9 months planning and talking about our upcoming November WDW trip. She seems to think I'm the only adult male who loves WDW ...

Fortunately, she is a good sport and willing to join me on a trip to WDW every other year ... if it were up to me, we'd head down there twice a year.

Glad to know I'm not alone! My wife thinks I've lost it. I work hard though, don't really ask for anything else all year so I earn it lol. I'm just trying for once a year, really working on possibly doing the west coast soon as well.

I wish my husband liked WDW...

We are out there, not numerous but we exist!!

I can promise you that you are NOT the only male who loves WDW. I live with another one! :-) If money were no object, he would be taking us once a month, I think!

Well, believe it or not, my wife chose B, which held the slight edge in this thread too so yay! We've never been for the Christmas decorations, while we've done September twice. So now, question is where to stay. IF things stay the same as this year, we'd still be able to get the DDP promotion.

Option 1: Caribbean Beach OR Coronado Springs (thank you @akayw0718). We've never been here so could be cool

Option 2: Art Of Animation (if we can get Cars suite). We'd upgrade the dining of course.

Option 3: Forgo the dining and go DVC, probably Boardwalk. We've always wanted to stay here but the DDP always won. This option would mean we'd avoid TS like the plague though.....

Its up to all of you! We are at your mercy!!

I would choose AoA. Awesome theming decent pricing and the upgraded dining would do it for me. I would LOVE to stay at Boardwalk some time, but the pricing usually puts me out. If you want to do the DVC rental, then go for it!

Dvc would be the only way we could do it! Again though that would eliminate any sit down dining for us

I love November in WDW! My favorite time to go. I highly recommend AOA, the theming is great! Stay close to the main building, the walk is far to the outskirts like little mermaid ( my husband and I stayed in LM and it wasn't too fun at the end of a long day the the parks to walk to the hotel) there are the Christmas decorations up, osbornes is starting, low crowds, and good temps.

I've gone all three times and prefer January. Yes it can be chilly and yes Splash and Kali are usually down for refurb but the parks are so light it's amazing. September would be my second choice. You will probably deal with a bit of rain and slightly more crowded parks because of Food & Wine but still a great time to go. Take advantage of those afternoon storms. The parks tend to lighten up a bit.

We stayed at Sports this year and were tucked away at the back of Grand Slam. Not a fun walk at the end of the evening, but having the pool right there was nice. At AOA, we would want to be right near the front. As for the decorations, Im pretty sure that was the main reason behind DW choosing November. Crowds don't generally bug us too much as we've been before, so we do what we can and just enjoy the sights when we cant.

Can I add Option 4: Coronado Springs (unless you've been there, and then Caribbean). I think a moderate sounds like your best bet. You sound like you want more table service than counter service, and nothing in the thread says kids so AOA doesn't sound like your best bet.
We actually would be bringing our two sons, but I showed them the youtube and they both seemed to like Coronado as well. My sister stayed there the one and only time she has gone and thought it was nice, so I will add that to the options. CB does not seem to get much love. Is Coronado usually included in the DDP?

Wow, didn't realize it's been over a month since I checked in! Its been a busy month in our household, but I need to get back to the magic (60 days baby!!)

Anyway, for THIS trip. Its booking time, and my DW is having second thoughts. We were all gung ho for November but now she wants to wait until January. She thinks it's 'silly' to go twice in one year. I personally don't see her point at all.

The good news? I won, and we are doing Coronado Springs either way. We are doing the Dining, so we gotta start figuring out where we wanna dine.

The other fun part? WE have decided that with the exception of Peter Pan, TSMM, Everest and Soarin, we are not advance fastpassing ANYTHING. Last year it felt very rushed and all over the place and we don't want that this year. If we have to wait, we have to wait.

So here is where we need your help again. What are some of your favourite restaurants at the World? We need some that are all about the kids (and me) as well as some that are more for mommy and daddy (but still somewhat kid friendly). We did Tutto Italia this past September and while the food was great, we felt very weird with the kids there.

We are open to resort AND park options, and would like to avoid the following (been there done that):
1900 Park Fare
Hollywood and Vine
Mama Melrose
Tusker House
Sanaa
Crystal Palace
Sci Fi
Tutto Italia

Weve done BOG and Ohana as well, but have no problem going back ;)

We are looking at doing 7 days in the park (8 total, one day off).
Probably 2 at MK, 2 at Epcot, 1 each at DHS and AK, and then one floater day for whichever park we feel like returning to. We will also have our annual day at DTD.

Thank you all for your help so far!!
