Very different resort choices.
If you want a kitchen/living area/patio/washing machine etc OKW.
If you want sleek modern hotel style Gran Destino Tower.
If you want slightly more budget friendly more classic WDW style and the Skyliner CBR.
Admittedly I have not stayed at any but have considered OKW and the tower. I'm just not too interested in CBR but I don't really have a reason for why.
Thank you so muchFor your group, I would consider Caribbean Beach purely because having two sinks separate from the toilet and bath can be beneficial for privacy and ease of getting ready. I know you said you don't care about the Skyliner, but the easy access to 2 parks and multiple other hotels (and all their dining options) is a plus for me. I like a variety of food types while at WDW.
Old Key West rooms are bigger and have a balcony. I personally don't like the layout as well, and I don't like the lack of food court/quick service option. Coronado's tower has lovely rooms and the resort has several dining options, but it has a conventioneer vibe that some people dislike.
I would look at photos of the resort grounds and see which theming appeals to you most.
Thank you so muchI have stayed at all. They are different and nice for their own reasons. It’s not like one is bad or not nice. So choose whichever suits your needs.
Okw. So I enjoyed this stay because my whole large family (I have 8 kids. My husband and all the kids and brother in law and myself all in one suite) plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. A full size washer and dryer so I could return home with all clean laundry. We didn’t use the kitchen facilities as I am not going to cook on vacation. The resort itself was so so to me. Not my favorite for look or feel. The pool was average I felt. When we were there not many families with young children seemed to be staying. The pool was mainly grown ups. My kids like the pool game activities and at times they were the only ones or only a couple other children would be around to join in. They were disappointed in that. The boats to Disney springs (in non corona times) are a nice thing. The quick service was the least favorite of any of the resorts and I have stayed in most. It’s more of a walk up counter no indoor seating. It always seemed to have very limited menus too.
coronado tower is very pretty and luxurious feeling. The rooms are definitely more glamorous than the normal Disney room. We did have a more upgraded room. I don’t remember the actual classification. But it was very nice. It did not have a traditional “I am at Disney” feel however once you were in your room. At least not to me. Even though we had the upper floor with fireworks views it didn’t feel like I was at Disney. My children were not on this trip but I can say they wouldn’t have really liked the tower much. Quick service was decent and the cafe fix grab and go area is a nice addition. I have also stayed in regular Coronado rooms and it’s definitely the least favorite of moderates to me if in a regular room. Theming isn’t appealing to me. The pool is not a favorite to me either. I would definitely stay again for an adult trip but not a family one. But only interested In staying in the tower not the other areas They also have lots of sit down eating and places for alcohol and coffee at this resort.
so Ilove Caribbean beach. I love the feel. It’s like you are at Disney and on an actual Caribbean vacation at the same time. I love the grounds. It’s very pretty and peaceful. I love the bridge over to the pool/main building area. Being up early and taking a walk over to get coffee is wonderful. I prefer staying in Jamaica section near the bridge as opposed to paying for a preferred room. The Jamaican area is more convenient I feel The pool is my favorite on all Disney property I think. The little kids pool area is great and their are 2 slides in the main pool. It’s also zero entry which is nice for small children and I like to sit in the swallow water area while sunning and watching the children. The quiet pools are well located and nice too. The sky liner is a great new addition that makes travel very convenient. The counter service is not great to me. Just don’t care for the offerings much. If staying in Jamaica you can easily walk to the Riviera as well for their counter service which I like a lot. Normally they had the freestyle coke machines all over too which made mug refills super convenient. For me it’s one of my top resort choices even when compared to some deluxes. I see people not liking it here all the time and just can’t imagine that. Like I said I love it.
