Help planning a return trip to walt disneyworld

We have been to disney many times in the past. It will be 2 adults and 2 boys ages 5 & 9. We are staying at the Animal Kingdom Villas (new to us) from Dec 12-20th. We have been to all 4 theme parks. We have all our dining reservations planned, including many new restaurants (since we choose to go without the dining plan this time). We are looking at doing some new things/adventures/tours/etc... at disney that maybe are not so known or that first timers would not necessarily do, due to time restraints. Any suggestions/advice?

Maybe check out the tours each park offers? I know Disney has a lot to offer, but if you go outside the parks there is a WHOLE NEW WORLD out there...full of exciting adventures. International Drive area is full of many different adventures for families and those that are budget conscience. There are helicopter rides that the boys might enjoy and its prices from $20 up to $300+. There are The Peabody Ducks at the The Peabody hotel.(if ya need to know what this is, do a youtube search on them! and they are free! Just something simply to do) There is Old Town on 192 in Kissimmee, Gatorland, or just take a day and go to Lake Eola in downtown Orlando and have a day at the park with a picnic lunch!
