Help planing park days in May

My boyfriend and I finally have our first trip booked in May! We are staying at Saratoga Springs. We have 6 1/2 days to spend at the parks, with park hoppers.
I was wondering how to plan out days at the parks. In about 25 days we will have to book our fast passes.

Our first day full day there are EMH at Magic Kingdom from 9 to 11 pm. I heard that in this case, we should spend the day at a different park, and and then go to EMH late at night. Does that mean if we spend the morning at Animal Kingdom, we shouldn't head over until 9pm for EMH at MK? And how would that work when planning fastpasses?
Same question for our third day. Studios has EMH in the morning from 9 to 930 am. Does this mean after the morning we should head to another park?

Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!

Hello there! I’m actually going the same week as you I believe! I will be doing similar things, such as starting at a different park on days the EMH are later in the evening. You can certainly stay at MK all day but it does tend to make the park busier. You cannot book fast passes during EMH so my suggestion would be to book your fastpasses at AK and after your last one that you selected in advanced, you can add more one at a time, so you can head to MK later in the day but before the EMH and still snag a fast pass, probabaly not for Space Mountain, but maybe :).

Being your first trip, I hope you know that you will need park hopper passes to do different parks in the same day. When we are using evening magic hours we tend to go to a different park in the morning and hop over to the second park in the afternoon. You will find that many parks start emptying out as the evening hours go on and you can do a lot more later in the night. It is my favorite use of the EMH's.
If you are going for morning EMH's you can still get a lot done by getting in early, some people do avoid those days thinking crowds are huge but Ive had good luck with them too.

Awesome, I heard May is beautiful there! Okay, so maybe we will do Animal Kingdom in morning and head to MK around 7 and try to get some fast passes. Thanks for the input!

Thanks so much! Yes, I do know that we would have to use our original fast passes first. Sounds like you're saying it's doable, just maybe won't get some of the bigger ones like Space.
