HELP - Network Printer (DOS)

Can anyone help me? I am trying to send a document to the printer through DOS:

C:> copy textfile.txt LPT1

Here is the problem, I am on Windows2000 and the printer is on the network. Therefore "LPT1" will not work. I need to somehow figure out how to select the network printer.

I cannot use a text editor to print (word pad, ultra edit, etc.) because the form's format will get messed up. Any network gurus out there?

Humm.. tough one since i dont know how your network is setup. Look in the NET PRINT command to see if it is even trying to print. It might be that the command is not reconized in your machine.


if it is the default printer try to type

<C:\>print fileName.ext
