Help me understand the new FP system, please...

Ok, so I've read about the new FP system, but I have a couple of questions. Since I won't be using the new system from home regarding making FP reservations, are we going to find even longer lines for the attractions when we visit because of guests reserving ride times in advance?
We like to be spontaneous regarding dining, (I have NO idea where I might want to eat 6 months from now) and now to have to reserve a ride is likewise ridiculous. (to me) Maybe I am missing something?

It is too early to say how the standby lines will be, and how same day FP+ reservations will work out. Once the system is fully deployed later this year we should have a better idea. But if you are going during the FP+ testing period, best bet is to use it and make some reservations.

It will be the same regardless of MM+!

Not sure if you are asking how the system actually works or if you think it will change once FP+ is in full effect?

Sorry - Yeah i meant once the FP+ is in full effect. We are going November 16-25, I assume by then FP+ will be somewhat in full effect. Will the child swap work the same way with the bands?

Thanks!

OK...my husband just called me at work to say that UPS just dropped off an envelope marked "Urgent" from Disney so I told him to OPEN IT. We have been invited to test the magic bands on our trip in September, so now I guess I will find out firsthand how it is all going to work. Can't wait to get home today to read it and get started.
