Short version of the long story: We were planning 11 nights at WDW in July until the buy 4, get 3 deal was extended. Maximum nights for the deal was 10 nights. Add that with the Superbowl Universal deal for tickets there, and the 5 of us decided to end our WDW trip after 10 nights and then go for a couple nights at Universal's Royal Pacific. We are planning using Magical Express to get from MCO to Fort Wilderness at the beginning of our stay.
The quesiton is, what is the best way to get from Fort Wilderness Cabins at the end of our WDW portion of our trip to Universal's Royal Pacific for the rest of our trip and then back to MCO for our flight out?
My thought would be to pick up a rental car the night before our check out at WDW to get to Universal (don't know where to rent though), but then the question would be how to return the car and get to the airport.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
Please help me plan this portion of my trip.
Thanks.

Cars can be rented at the Swan/Dolphin or the Disney Car Care Center near the Magic Kingdom.

You can return the car at the airport.

Also, there are quality transporation services available like Tiffany Towncar or Quicksilver that will pick you up at WDW and take you directly to Universal. You can then schedule a time to picked up at Universal to head back to MCO.
