Back story: We are military who are currently stationed in VA. I am from FL born and raised. Went to disney several times a year my whole life. Since we've been here, WE HAVEN'T BEEN ONCE. It's been two years!

My dilemma: We are going to FL for the weekend. I just got handed an unexpected $500! This gives me the opportunity to take my family and my parents for one day. We are going on Monday (crazy, I know, but only day that fit all of the work schedules). I CAN'T PICK A PARK!!!

Extra info: I have 3 kids, 8,7, and (short, newly)4. My 8 yr old is about 54in. The 7yr old just hit 48in(yay! long battle). My dad and I are riders. My mom is more for shows and parades. My youngest doesn't ride anything. I love RnR and ToT. I have yet to experience the new ST. There's more for the kids to ride at MK and I love the parades and shows. I also love Fantasmic and am more a SM fan over MSEP. Can't ask kids' opinions as they don't know. It'll be a surprise.

Do I go to Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios and why?

Crush Dude!

It's gotta be MK man!

And I will tell you why....

When you come into town Square and start that walk up Main Street USA and see the looks on everyone's faces as they see Cinderella Castle you will know you made the right choice

I think your real question is who are you trying to make happy? You say that you love ToT, RnR and ST but everyone else in your family seems more suited to MK.

I think MK is the best bet. You may lose out on some thrill rides you love but you will get to see some very happy faces around you instead.

I love them both! :) My oldest hasn't been on RnR yet and wants to go. My 7yr old is finally tall enough for it, too, and just became a Star wars nut. I love the MiSiCi parade but also love Fantasmic. MK has more rides, shows and parades. HS has more big kid rides and the Star Wars area.

Gah!! This would be easier if I could get a park hopper. lol. But I can't and still get my parents' tickets. :/

Then I think you'll forget about ToT when you see those little smiling faces when they see the castle (like Crush said) and maybe your youngest will go on more things there. Will the 4 year old do IASW, Dumbo or Philharmagic...anything like that?

You could go to the Shades of Green and purchase a Park Hopper for a military rate and hit up 2 parks.

I'm a huge fan of Epcot for adults

So you could visit the MK in the morning and Epcot in the afternoon.

It's MK or bust in my opinion. The little ones are going to be so much more engaged in MK. Plus it'll take you back....

I don't want to say there is less at DHS, but I just don't think there is as much.

True.

Even at the military rate, there's over $100 difference from 1 park to hopper for all of us. I just can't do that and eat and have fun and get back to VA. Im getting my parents' tickets, too. I would certainly love to, though

No question. Magic Kingdom. It's always the first, and the last park I visit during any Disney trip. Everything else is just extra frosting.

I'm voting MK. I don't like the Studios.

But your mom might like BatB.

But Fantasmic sucks and Wishes is so great.
