Do any of you take any precautions? And has anyone tried that product Airborne? Was just wondering because I've had my last 3 trips to WDW affected by colds or the flu.... I know it's probably just me - I have crappy sinuses... but I'd like to go and be healthier!!!

I've decided to ask the Dr. for an antibiotic to take with me... even if it's a cold, it goes into a sinus infection by the time I have to fly again...

I hear Danny Glover takes Airborn before he flys... maybe I should ask him...

Should also check and see if they have Disney themed Surgical Masks... that should thrill all the people flying with me... first they'll think I'm infectious then they'll laugh at my choice of accessories!!!

I know they had the caps (surgical) because my surgeon wore one last time I had to have surgery (That's why I liked the guy... Good surgeon...Disney fan...)

Nose drops, Nose drops, Nose drops, Nose drops, Nose drops, Nose drops...
Honestly it works...
Start using them 1 week before you fly... take them 3 times a day 1 puff in each nostril...

Take your last a few minutes before push back...
And then again as close as possible to the final approach...

It really works... don't take antibiotics... you only make the germs resistant to the antibiotics...

what kind of nose drops?

& I guess I could try also taking multivitamins....
Vitamins won't do the job... (alas)

Any nose drops or spray (for adults) contaning Oxymetazoline will do...

Oxymetazoline is a topical decongestant used, in the form of Oxymetazoline hydrochloride, in products such as Vicks Sinex and Afrin.

Oxymetazoline is generally available as a nasal spray.

It always helps me a lot, as I'm suffering chronical sinusits... My doctor won't give me antibiotics for this anymore, as the germ grew resistant to the antibiotics... And because of my former job I did a whole lot of flying... and I really mean a whole lot of flying... sometimes 2 - 4 times a week...
The nasal spray really helps me to get by...

I, too, sing the praises of Afrin Nasal Spray. It's the only thing that works for me, and the best thing is that I have no after effects, except for maybe a little rebound congestion. This stuff is heaven sent! :)

Oh, and Airborne is great to make sure I don't "catch anything" on the plane, too. I once sat next to a man who wiped everything (laptray, seat, armrests, my seat, my laptray, my armrests) with alcohol and paper towels before take off and refused to touch any reading materials or use the lavatory while in flight. Don't know how well that works for him, but I didn't get sick!

HE probably got sick from all the toxic fumes used in all those antibac's....

I guess I'll add Afrin and Airborne to my shopping list. I just don't want to get sick one more time!!! :lookaroun
