I am staying at Caribbean Beach next week and I have family coming in a day before their room is ready, so they will spend the night in my room. Here is the question... I will be in the park and really don't want to leave, how can I get them into my room without raising suspicion that I'm smuggling extra people in?? Does anyone know if it possible to get an extra key and leave it at the front desk?? Or any suggestion on how to get that taken care of is greatly appreciated!!

If you're increasing numbers past the room capacity, getting caught can get you all kicked out. If not, ask for extra keys and they'll charge you nominal fee for each adult over two.

Getting keys and leaving them at the desk will certainly raise suspicion...

It's only 1 person, making it only 2 adults in the room, so it won't increase the number. Wondering if I should just call reservations and ask or if I'm opening a can of worms.

I would call and ask them to be added. Happens all the time, so you shouldn't have an issue. It would be an issue if they catch you sneaking around. Depending on what type of room you're in, you can have up to 5 adults. Pirate rooms are 4, king rooms are 2. Everything else is 5, but I'm pretty sure there's a small fee per person if you have more than two adults.

Also, and I don't know if WDW hotels have this problem but when we were at the GC in DLR, we asked for a key for our younger son(he was 15) after we had checked in(should have asked when we checked in but did not) and when they keyed the card to our room, it negated the keys already had for the room(the ones husband and I had) so we had to go to the front desk with all three keys to get them reset.

Thank you!
I decided to go to the desk and just explain that she was joining me one day before her room would be ready and requested a key be available for her. The concierge put one in an envelope for her, and left it "in the mail room " for her. However when she arrived they could not locate it and had to go through the whole process again. Either way, it all worked out. She got to relax at the resort and in the room and I didn't have to leave the park! Thanks everyone! !
