HELP!! DCL Employment Age?

Hey...

I'm going to UCF in Orlando this fall, and plan to work at WDW while in class, but for summer next year I was considering working for DCL. Does anyone know what age they hire at? I'll be 18, and actually would have my 19th birthday while on the ship!

Thanks!

21 is the standard minimum age, although younger may be recruited for specialist entertainment roles (although these CM's cannot drink the crew bar). Concessionaires (like the Spa staff who work for Steiner) can also be under 21, but these are very rare.

I used to work on board. My advice? Wait until you're 21- you'll enjoy it so much more! (although any of the jobs on board are very hard work...)

Good Luck!

Thanks Rob and disneysailor...

I thought it might be 21, and I'd like to do it, but by the time I'm 21 I'll have finished undergrad school, and if I'm majoring in legal studies I'll be going to law school... if I major engineering I'll be searching for a job in a related field... Oh well... you never know what might happen.
