I just got back from a trip to Disneyland Resort having never been before. On Sunday(02/14) we went over to try out Submarine Voyage. Years ago on my first trip to Walt Disney World, I rode 20k Leagues with my grandfather, and that's one of my best memories from back then. When we boarded, we found ourselves sitting right by Helmsman Tim, who was crouching while waiting for guests to finish boarding. We started talking and I told him about 20k Leagues over in WDW and how it was no longer there. How this time I was taking my kids on a submarine attraction on their first visit to Disneyland. He started talking enthusiastically about how he was happy when they brought Submarine Voyage back and how he had never gotten to ride 20k Leagues. We chatted for a couple of minutes while the rest of the guests boarded, then we were on our way. I loved the ride and after it was done he asked me how it compared to 20k Leagues. I know it doesn't seem like much, but I appreciated the chat and that he wanted to know what I thought afterwards.
