Why haven't I heard a THING about this movie? I just saw their website, and the film looks pretty good and spirited.

But what's going on? No ads? I mean, I went to one of ther website pages ("Spread the Word"), and it even has FAX, POSTERS, and FLYERS up to download and print out. Is Disney too cheap to do its own advertising - or what's the deal here?!

Thanks!

Grizz, I have heard about this film several times.

It's a documentary. Disney chose to release this one after refusing to do Moore's Farrenheit 9/11.

However, since it is not controversial, it won't do nearly as well as Moore's film. Sadly, this world prefers controversy to heart.:(

I think it's good that Disney release this one. BUT THEY SHOULD HAVE ADVERTISED IT.

Well, it is only opening in 90 theaters, and limited releases aren't heavily advertised. The only time I saw a trailer for it was before Around the World in 80 Days, and the only poster I've seen is at the Muvico theater I frequently visit.

Besides....it's opening two days after Spider-Man 2.....would people actually run to the theater to see it or in the weeks after?

I also saw trailers for it seeing 80 Days. I am eagerly awaiting this film really. I have some high hopes for it, but I'm sure it'll do poorly, everything has lately no matter how good it really is.

I talked about this earlier Grizz when we were mentioning Soarin' and the film. I was saying how it looks so beautiful that something with that could be changed to put into Soarin' in a few years, but I got bashed about it. Imagine that!!!! LOL

I am really saddened that Disney has produced what seems to be an uplifting film about our country, but has done little to nothing to promote it. It is also only opening in around 90 theaters in the country today, so it is doomed to failure. I think there would be more widespread appeal for this film if more people knew about and could go see it. In Minnesota where I live it is only showing in 1 theater in Minneapolis. The theater is quite a ways away from me, so if I go see it it would be a big deal. It should be in more than double the number of theaters especially for this weekend being Independence Day. I have heard good things about the movie, so if you have the chance I hope you can see it.
