HEA getting blurry

I watched happily Ever After Tonight. Many of the projections were spot-on but there were definitely some that have gotten blurry. I one point Mulan's face blurred until it was pretty unrecognizable as a face. Same thing with Woody and Buzz from Toy Story when they were in the middle of the castle. Seems to be that some of the projectors have gotten a little off. Does anyone know how often they tweak them or refocus? Also I really didn't like the reworked finale. Not enough booms in the finale like when the show originally started.

Was it blurry in those spots all the time? I don't know what projectors they're using for that but unless something gets on the lens or in the way, a projector will stay sharply focused no matter what.

The way projection mapping work is that several projectors overlap or converge in areas to make it bright and sharp. For what I understand these may be new Panasonic Projectors as they added more from the original Christie Projectors (those should have been replaced too). Someone did told me that the Projectors are Laser Projectors (cheaper to mantain). And what you see as a blurrines may be the projector drifting out of convergence and that is something that happens from time to time.

They reworked the finale?
Kind of. Most of the fireworks used when the show started we're actually leftover fireworks from wishes and Star Wars inventory. It's something like 9 to 18 months for fireworks ordered to be delivered. And happily ever after was created in about 6 months. So as the show ages the fireworks they actually intended to use are now arriving.

I watched some HEA VT Vids yesterday that had the new finale I think... The only difference I saw is you don't see the tails from the pryo, they just appear on cue, Kind of like Celebrate America's finale this year. I didn't count the number of booms, but it looks just as impressive as Day 1, if not more!

Definitely some different pyro now compared to opening night. Seem to be more brocades/willows in the lead up and now a finale of crossettes(?) vs. the leftover peonies from Wishes:

From 17 July (start at 5:38):

Opening night (start at 15:15):

That is some awesome information.

I definitely prefer the opening-night version of the finale. Thank you for posting both though, very awesome of you and much appreciated.

This is the correct response. Also, possible foundation movement.... j/k.

Nope. Opening night was the place holder until the intended fireworks arrive. During the first week I happen to met and get to talk to the show director.
I wonder if TOD will start up the two extra pyro spots? Didn't that guy say they were going to do it but there was a burn ban?

I think if they were doing the two extra pyro spots at any point for this show they would have started after the two 4th Of July shows that used them, but alas...
