*hope this is in an ok spot*

but have you ever read a trip report that just made you want to burst in excitement? haha. Im reading one from the DIS boards (Lia? is her name) and oh my gosh, her absolute joy for Disney is infectious. And shes so detailed, she makes you smell the food she's eating, see the things shes seeing, feel what she's feeling. I absolutely love it.

Do you have any you recommend reading? Not sure if I'm allowed to link it, so I wont, but if Im allowed and you wanna read it, lemme know!

@fractal's are also like that! lol

I prefer trip reports that let me hear other people's impressions of WDW, the rides, hotel, even a little food if they ate something they really loved or hated. I especially love it when it's their first trip or first time experiencing something. IMO, some people get a little carried away with the whole thing, being the star of the show instead of just talking/sharing.

I wish more people would write basic trip reports...Like, if i were there with you, walking along as we left a ride - What would you say? Those are the best.

See, I get bored of those ones...you know? I've been there, seen the ride, I dont need a play by play of those kinds of things (if Im understanding you correctly on what you mean? LOL). She talked about the different foods and where she got it, what was in it, and what made it awesome. And then some that weren't as amazing, she explained why (like some kind of drink she got that she didn't like...lol).

She is definitely "the star" of the report, and her mama her co star. LOL

I didn't read that report and wasn't talking about her or anyone in particular!

Different people like different reports. It's all good. :)

Trip reports are my most visited sub-forum here! Though they usually make me sooooo hungry!
And homesick:( .... I gotta say I like the drama ones alot... @vitani88 and @HouCuseChickie come to mind, they had me enthralled like watching Justified without the violence and sex....and I always learn something new on the ones @disneygirl76 does... I am trying to remember one I read last year that a woman from NJ who is a big foodie did for her trip during F&W...now that one definitely made me hungry!:)

I always click on the Trip Reports section, to find the most recent trips people have gone on. No where else can I get such wonderful up to date photos and descriptions of what everyone is experiencing. Sure it makes me sad that I'm not there, but happy someone is able to experience the world of Disney. Gets me dreaming of a next trip.... and it sure helped me get through the dull boring months of winter this year in Maine.

This is a tough subject since personal preferences play so heavily into these things...i.e. what makes a good trip report for you might be overkill to the next person and vice versa. I've said it before and I'll say it again...there really is no right or wrong way to do a TR. i.e. maybe someone has a ton of pictures while another has a ton of text and your preferences may lie towards one or the other. On top of that, we tend to like to read the reports from people we enjoy conversing with on the non-report threads, or at least enjoy their posts...and that's the big reason why I rarely stray from WDWMagic when it comes to TRs. i.e. I'm reading about the trips from the people who help make me feel like this is a community. That's not to say there's anything wrong with doing anything different...that's just my observations about my preferences.

Big thanks to @jlsHouston for the shout out :) - yup, we do tend to have a bit of drama ;) And I really do appreciate anyone who takes the time to read. I know my style is not for everyone, but I've found that the TR helps greatly with that post trip depression. So, it's therapeutic to me.

I'm guessing it was my Nov 2012...but my surprise issues for that trip even made the PTR drama. In a nutshell...always use the right cheerleaders when surprising the kids. I may have to start a PTR for this upcoming one b/c I'm already getting drama with DH and my dad inviting extra family members. Hilarity and insanity is sure to be the result. ;)

It's funny you say that b/c I keep meaning to pop over to Disboards to read a TR over there b/c the girl whose helped with all of my cakes has one that appears to be in progress...I just get so darn distracted!

Love trip reports! I've read some that really make me feel like I was there, those are the best. I love when they include really interesting pictures too, like different ones than you'd think of taking. I always plan on writing them, and then I get lazy.

Haha! Thanks. My TR was very close to having violence all over it!
