Once, when I was 8, I was staying at the yacht club. We were on the elevator from the 5th floor, and then we stopped on the elevator at the 3rd floor. This man in a flowered shirt gets on the elevator. He notices that I am wearing a Mike Wazowski t-shirt, so he asks me what my favorite Pixar movie is. Then I tell him Monsters inc. After that, he gets off and says goodbye. Little did I know, oblivious to the world and not as big of an obsessive of disney, that the man in the flowered shirt was none other than Skipper John Lasseter. Has anyone else ever met someone either high up in twdc or starred in a disney movie?

I have run into and spoken to many "suits" on property at various locations but none that I was ever able to recognize as being anyone important. I probably still couldn't honestly. I have seen their faces in videos and their official corporate portraits but standing in front of them I'd probably never notice. :D

Al Weiss walked right past us as we were waiting at the back of the crowd for the little ceremony at the Studios to mark Walt's 100th birthday back in 2001.

Yeah, I think that's all I've got.

In the beginning, we primarily stayed at the Grand Floridian (mostly because we are creatures of habit and liked the style.) The second time we went to Disney, the bellman that was delivering our bags said he had just delivered George Lucas's luggage. Crazy!!!

Tony Baxter and Marty Sklar, both in Epcot to give presentations for the 30th anniversary

Sat next to the table Alan Menken was eating at in 50's Prime-Time Cafe... years and years ago

Sailed on the same Alaskan Disney cruise as Pete Docter, director of Monsters Inc. and Up, and saw him several times... on the pool deck, in one of the bars and on the same helicopter excursion we were on. Talked to him a couple of times.

There might be some others, I'll have to think...

In 1991 I was working at the MK as a part of the WDW College Program. I worked at a special Christmas party in the Crystal Palace one evening, I had to wear a tux. I was told by my Manager that their was a special guest there. He was an older gentleman in a wheelchair. I was told he was one of the designers of WDW. I had a chance to talk with him for a moment, it was great. I just wish I could remember his name. He really isnt a person high up in todays WDC but it was still cool.

When we did the Keys to the Kingdom tour we met Jess Rubio, who was one of the original caricature and silhouette artists at Disneyland back in the 50's and 60's. He told us a few stories about Walt and his career there. Sadly he passed away not too long after that.

When I was 12 I wrote a letter to Disney expressing my wish to dance on stage there (it was my dream as a kid) for my mom who was suffering some pretty severe illnesses. A month later (after two 'no-but-here's-a-free-trading-pin' letters and a 'no' phone call) I received a personal call from Marty Sklar saying they'd love to have me as a 'guest performer' at the Theater of the Stars (Aka. the Beauty & the Beast theater in HS). My parents and friends got the whole theater to themselves to watch me perform a solo (I went on between the Beauty & the Beast showtimes). It was an INCREDIBLE experience that I will never forget-- I'll never forget the look on my mom's face either. I think her dreams came true even more than mine did. What was even more awesome was that while I was in the dressing room before the show (I got to use the company dressing room), a couple members of the company came in to see me and talk to me. When the curtain opened for me to perform, the whole company of Beauty & the Beast was in the audience watching with my parents and friends (cheering incredibly loudly.)
I can't say enough amazing things not only about how inviting the cast was, but the stage crew and lighting & sound staff-- they basically skipped their break to make a lifelong dream come true. I will scan a picture on to my computer tonight to share with you all :) I am so grateful to Marty & everyone at Disney who made a dream a reality for me. :D

Meg Croft was walking through the MK by the Jungle Cruise in December 2011. I was tying my daughter's shoelace and when I stood up an army of well-dressed people with nametags were marching in my general direction. She was leading the pack, looked like a tour of some sort. They walked on by me like they didn't know I post on wdwmagic.

Alternative version of the story:
Meg Croft was being carried through the MK by the Jungle Cruise in December 2011. I was tying my daughter's shoelace and when I stood up an army of well-dressed people with nametags were knocking guests out of the way coming right at me. Sensing danger, I assumed the standard Shaolin kungfu defensive position of Front Horse...
