So we're going in June. We were planning on doing this tour into LA, but it got cancelled for unknown reasons. We'll be in the parks for five days and we have a sixth day. Options:

1. Something nearby? Perhaps in San Diego?
2. Pool at Grand Californian?
3. Park for an extra day?
4. Something else worthwhile you would recommend?

We weren't planning on doing the local beaches as we are heading to Aulani after we're done in Disneyland for a week, so we'll have plenty of beach time. Any suggestions as to what to do?

Well, there's the San Diego Zoo, Safari Park, Universal Studios Hollywood, Hollywood itself, for starters. The Getty museum if you love art.

We did San Diego Zoo and really enjoyed it the last time we went. We weren't thinking about doing it again, but maybe the Wild Animal Park...

There are other Hollywood tours as well - a simple TripAdvisor search should turn something up. I second @raven24's USH recommendation, although if you've been to UOR you might find it less exciting. The cool aspect of USH is seeing real movie sets and being a on live production lot, something UOR does not recreate.

If you're up for a drive, there's a really cool scenic drive that I did in November. It dumps you out in Palm Springs, if there's anything you'd like to do out there. Pines to Palms Scenic Drive

Or, a cool dolphin watching place that is down in Orange County near Disneyland.

We were thinking something besides another park. If we planned on a park another day, we'd probably just go to Disneyland again.

I still need to get to the one in Orlando...42 trips to Florida. You would think by now I'd have made it to Universal!

June. My free day is on a Saturday, which is why we were also thinking no theme park.
