mrfantasmic is a very reliable poster IMO. Leota hasn't been floating since at least Aug 09. and doesn't float during HMH.

Hat Box Ghost
And the always present rumor of the Hat Box Ghost that was rumored to return when HMH left, but didn't. Weather this one comes true or not :shrug:

There's also the imminent return of the Hat Box Ghost to the attic in Haunted Mansion (after this year's Holiday overlay is removed in January), with slick digital technology improving the clunky mechanical effects of 1969 that evicted that ghost and his hat box from the house in the first place.

The Hat Box ghost (Harry) better come to DL and WDW.

It just struck me that they like to clone when we hate it,and they hate to clone when we like it.:mad::rolleyes:

Not exactly any thing new in terms of rumors, but some news if you like the Haunted Mansion candles you can purchase them come May.

A Newport Beach company, Candella LLC, has bought worldwide rights to develop and sell the illusory flickering candles in Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion.

President Peter Smith promises that these rechargeable, false-flame candles will be on the market by May under the name Dream Candles. The price will be comparable to real candles but last longer.

You just knew the Haunted Mansion candles couldn’t be real. Forget the hazard of open flames in such a setting, Even Disney couldn’t afford the huge cost to continually replace real candles.

Q. Several readers wondered why the Hatbox Ghost didn't appear in the Manson this spring as had been expected...

A. The Hatbox Ghost is one of those projects that Tony Baxter still wants to finish up and get installed at Disneyland's Haunted Mansion. The new version of the Hatbox Ghost was all ready to begin fabrication in the early summer of 2009, for installation into a slightly reworked Attic Scene after the popular Holiday overlay was removed at the end of the Christmas season. But a rather last minute shifting of funds by Team Disney Anaheim (TDA) execs put the project on hold as the money was spent on another ghostly attraction instead. In short, all of the money originally dedicated to the Hatbox Ghost for 2009 was shifted over to the Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy project at the last minute, and that budgetary infusion helped boost the exterior dome show from what was just supposed to be some basic lighting effects into the much more impressive audio and visual projection show Disneyland ended up with.
