I am thiking of joining the WDWCP next year and wanted to know: how hard is it to get a job working in the haunted mansion? ...Or... Can I get a job on their Tech. Crew working lighting, flys, sound, etc...?

I'm 99.99999999998% sure that you can't get a job on a techical crew. I'm not sure where that falls, but it would be entertainment or another division that isn't open for CPs. (Entertainment for CP's is being a character). I also think that the techincal department has it's own union.

As far as HM, you can request it, but you probally won't get it, especially if you aren't an alumn. I requested AK when I went and got Epcot.

Attractions are the hardest to get into because:

1. Most people want them.
2. Attractions falls under operations, which includes gates and parking.

If you have any more questions, just PM me.

Turkey Leg Boy got it pretty much. CP's aren't allowed to be stage techs. The closest to this they allow is Entertainment Costuming, which is nothing like what they describe it to be. Also, the union that governs the techs and costumers alike is IATSE.

Hm... Rob? Question.... was there ever an AI in Stage Tech. I know there isn't at the moment, but alot of the older AI's were dropped because of 9/11 and no one knows yet which will be offered next year. I'm just curious....

I do hope they reinstate the Eyes and Ears one though, that's the one I want to do before grad school.

This is a real blow. I have been working Tech. Crew for years but I guess I will just have to join the union and not work WDWCP but just get a job at WDW.

Do you know the positions available in the near future for the crew, about how much they pay, and the benifits? Any help would be great.

Tech Entertainment at the theme parks, including WDW and Universal are not starting positions (although Universal does have starting positions as Stage Assistants before becoming actual Techs) and as such requires a resume, etc. be sent in.
I don't remember if its the casting hotline or the audition hotline but one or the other actually listed the address you could send resumes for the department.
