Haunted Mansion on Main Street USA.

This would have to go in a new park but do you think it could work? it would be set on a side street just like the one the crystal shop is on in the WDW MSUSA.

Its theme would simply be and old abandodned house off of MSUSA. The ride would be the same classic ride but the facade would be a run down aged version the the MSUSA buildings.

What do you think?

I think this is a great idea, but I don't think the atmosphere of it would fit Main Street. It would be one of the first things people would experience, and for some, that would not be good. Also, the building could not be rght out on Main Street. If it were down a long cul-de-sac, perhaps like the landlord's house, it would work better.

Yes exactly it would be more off of MS a cul-de-sac like you say.

I think it could work; HM is one of the most versatile attraction theme-wise. It's in Liberty Square in Magic Kingdom, New Orleans Square in Disneyland, Fantasyland in Hong Kong, and Frontierland in Disneyland Paris.

When Walt was first designing it, he worried that a Haunted House would be an eyesore in the park, so he would "take care of the outside and the spooks would take care of the inside".

So that means it needn't look run down, just needs to fit in with the theme of the land.

Ok. I think it would work very well if you could hide the show building. Also, would you include the museum of the weird? I think it would work well on main street.
