When you're in the stretching room in the Haunted Mansion, after you see the hanging body, and after the sound effect scream, there is a banging sound. What is it supposed to be?

Well, if you go to :

http://doombuggies.com/home.htm

At the bottom of the page (not the advertisements), there are some pistres of some things in the haunted mansion. Click on one, and it makes the noise it does in the Haunted mansion. There is a picture of the face of the girl on the stretching protraits (tight rope walking over hungry crocodile) if you click on it, there is a sound of a scream and banging noise at the end of it. I know this sound is in the Stretching room because I remember it. The banging sound sounds like someone throwing down a pile of wood. Can anyone tell me what this noise is supposed to be?

By the way, Sir Hiss, did you happen to be in WDW somtime during the first week of June last year?

Hi!
Though I have been on the ride a gazillion times, I really never paid to much attention to it. But, my boyfriend and I believe it's thunder and lightning sounds. Anyone think so too?

Well, there are tunder and lightning sounds, but I mean after the lights go completely out. Right before the lights come back on, there a banging sound.

Ok maybe not. Just went to the link you gave us and we think it's also the corpse falling and hitting the ground. It makes sense... LOL

i can believe that it's the corpse falling to the groud, but it may also be the sound of the casket (of the hanging corpse) closing, or a slamming door, symbolizing the end of life or something....possibly they just wanted to startle the audience and thought that, that sound (slamming door?) would suffice.

The falling corpse makes more sense. Think about it: there is a room full of people lookin up at this corpse hanging overhead. Then the lights go out. Then this sound of a body landing in the middle of the room...scary, huh?
