Haunted Mansion/Nightmare Before Christmas question.

I've been planning to go to DL in the (hopefully) near future and I have heard different answers to a question I have. So I figured I would ask people who should know the answer best.

So the question is:

How long does the overlay at the Mansion for the Holidays take and when does it start and end? I want my first ride on DLs Mansion to be the original and don't want to plan to be there when it is closed. Thanks in advance.

Haunted Mansion Holiday returns on Sept 25. this year it usually takes about 2 weeks to do the install, so about 2 weeks prior, also Sept 9, 2009 is the 40th Anniversary party. It will stay Haunted Mansion Holiday at least till early Jan. 2010.

HOLIDAY FAVORITES: Of course, Disneyland Resort will also celebrate the fall and winter holidays this year. Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort returns beginning Friday, Sept. 25, with Haunted Mansion Holiday, Candy Corn Acres, Mickey’s Trick-or-Treat Party and some new, scary surprises. Beginning in late November, Holidays at Disneyland Resort will bring back “A Christmas Fantasy” parade,” it’s a small world Holiday” and all the special holiday décor that transforms Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure parks into a holiday wonderland.

Thanks. I had a feeling the answers I was getting were way off. I wish I could make it this year, but doubt that will happen. :(

If it helps, it usually takes a bit less than 2 weeks to un-install it. Haunted Mansion is generally closed for about 11 or 12 days in January to take it all out and revert back to the regular show.

But it's about 2 weeks to put it all together in mid September.

Small World Holiday is about the same timeline now.

Thanks. I have been looking for information on It's A Small World Holiday for months now. We will be there in early November. :xmas:

Okay. But be advised that the Small World Holiday changeover doesn't happen until mid/late October to early November. Since it's a total Christmas thing, they keep it separate from the HalloweenTime themed stuff.

Small World Holiday usually opens the weekend after HalloweenTime ends, after they take down the HalloweenTime decorations from around the park. I would bet by the first full weekend in November that Small World Holiday would be up and running. But check back in a few months to make sure.

I'm visiting in early September, and I couldn't find the exact closure date on the DLR website, so I just called Guest Relations....according to the woman I spoke with, it'll be closing on September 10th. Figured I'd post this here in case anyone else was having trouble finding the date
