Haunted Mansion Motion Picture

Hey everybody! Just wanted to know if anyone else knew any more information on the Haunted Mansion movie to be in theaters. For all of those people that think I'm imagining things, I've seen an official movie poster!!!! Am I the only one who's excited?

apparently...i hate the idea i was in the process of writing a script about the ride.

here is what it's gonna be about: a father (Eddie Murphy) neglects his family and is "spooked" into seeing the light. it will have no seen ghosts just ghost effects (think The Others but not as creepy) and no HM noticable characters. it is going to be very different from the ride.

personally i think disney going a little nuts with rides into movies...Country Bears should have been animated not live action. Pirates sounds like it's going to be good. HM doesn't though. i just think it's an excuse to sign eddie murphy to a disney contract and have him act, to coin a phrase, goofy. there were rumors that they might not do this movie...but those have been stamped out...they start filming next month, Jan. 6 to be exact. don't let the poster fool you...it is not going to be like the ride we all love and know.

Country Bears should have been ABOUT the attraction, as Haunted Mansion and Pirates. This last one can still be saved, I think, but Bruckenheimer... Well, Pearl Harbor, Godzilla... Who knows?

Haunted Mansion is gonna have to be a REALLY good movie, so good that you can watch it and like it without actually linking it to the attraction.

and i seriously doubt it'll be any good...signing eddie murphy to the movie? to me it sound slike the role he never got to play...winston zeddemore from ghostbusters.

We all know that Eddie Murphy is just a way to draw more people to the theaters.
