Haunted Mansion foyer & SSE burning Rome smells

I know many folks here love the Haunted Mansion (it's my favorite attraction) and love the smell when you first walk into the foyer. I have found an incense that smells very similar to this called "Evening Zen" manufactured by Shoyeido. Of course, smell is fairly subjective so I'm interested to hear from anyone who gives it a try! A box is inexpensive - around $12.

I've searched the threads here for information on the burning Rome smell in Spaceship Earth. I know I once read there is a tea flavor that smells like it - maybe oolong? Anyway, I can't seem to find this information. Anyone familiar with a tea that supposedly smells like burning embers?

Wish there was an incense that smelled like stagnant Pirates of the Caribbean grotto water :)

Was walking around this very large pond by us yesterday and the smell of a campfire or fireplace reminded me of the smell from POTC.

jmani56 - thanks for the soap link. Will definitely try some!

Vernonpush - I agree with you about the hickory chips on the grill!

When I was at the Four Seasons Philadelphia a couple of weeks ago they had a wide selection of tea and one of them, I believe it was called Lapsang Souchong, smelled exactly like burning Rome. I'm not sure where else you could find it, but like I said, I'm pretty sure that's the name.

That could be a new Yankee Candle scent!
Musty grotto water! Burn it in a cold room and presto, instant flashback!

Kelsybelle - it's funny you mention that. In my searching for the SSE burning Rome smell, I read a post where someone actually knew of a candle that smelled like either burning Rome or the fire scenes in Pirates. Without looking for that thread again, I want to say it was called "Hearth" by Yankee Candle! If they did have "Musty Grotto Water", I would buy a case of them :)

I had a tea once at a lovely tea shop near Washington Square Park here in NYC this past fall that smelt and tasted like this smell. It was an enjoyable experience...
