So, i know that in Disney Land in califorina at halloween they transform the haunted mansion into a nightmare before christmas ride (my favorite movie) I have heard some people talk about it happening this year because of the succes that it has had in California. Does anyone know if there is validity to this??

Correct me if I'm wrong guys, but isn't the rehab done at Halloween time? It makes sense what you're saying because of the title... but Jack is from Halloween Town..

At Disneyland, they open it around halloween and keep it up till I think a little after New Year's. This way they have it around for a while.

I have ridden it at DL, and I personally thought it was great. I don't see why any HM fan wouldn't like it either, because they pretty much use all the original stuff, and add on to that a whole mess of new props, animatronics, decorations, etc. Plus, its all up-to-date stuff they use for the ride, so the mansion looks (and sounds) all shiny and new (or dusty and old,I guess I should say :) )

It won't be comming to WDW this year, but I have heard it might be comming next year becasue of its popularity at DL.

Yeah, I don't think it's coming to WDW this year, either. We had a couple of cast members tell us last October that it was going to start this year, but I think they were misinformed.

I wonder if they'll ever bring it to WDW at all, really. It's nice for Disneyland to have things and events specific to that park, I suppose. Ah well, I adore The Nightmare Before Christmas, but I won't lose any sleep over not seeing Jack Skellington in WDW's Mansion anytime soon. Would be nice, though.

From all the reports (but not officially confirmed) WDW will be debuting this in Florida in 2004, so we'll all have to wait 1 more year.

That and a NEW Osbourne Lights :-)

Steve Davison created this experience. Once his "Wishes" is up and running well he will turn his full attention to HMH. He has already said that he is looking forward to adding the HMH overlay to our Mansion. This is a very good thing for all Mansion lovers!!!

As said above, 2004 will bring "new" Christmas offerings to us.

IT IS FABULOUS!!

To anyone questioning the worth of the Disneyland display, I want to say first hand that it is GREAT!!! We were almost bored with the current ride and this display turned it into the best ride we experienced on our last Disneyland trip. We had never seen the movie and left having to go buy it! My husband who is not the Disney fan I am now proudly wears a Disneyland Nightmare Before Christmas t shirt. We live in Arizona but frequent Disney World as often as Disneyland. Florida will love this addition.
