I am not certain if this has been mentioned before but I just read that the Haunted Mansion will now be the next comic miniseries released by Marvel in their Disney Kingdoms line which also has titles on Big thunder Mountain Railroad, Figment and Seekers of the Weird.
In March 2016 we will see the first of five books created by Joshua Williamson & Jorge Coelho which will tell tales about the eerie household.

Also there is a book coming out this year called Tales from the Haunted Mansion Volume 1: The Fearsome Foursome by John Esposito & Kelley Jones which is the first book of a series of chapter books about everyone's favorite ride.

Keep an eye out!

Hopefully it is better than Big Thunder. Had to be the worst comic I have ever read haha. Haven't had a chance to read the Figment series yet. Can't wait to pick this up.

lol thanks for the warning on Big Thunder!

The Figment series is actually quite good and apparently is very popular with the fans since it has progressed to series 2 and the first five have gone onto three printings as well as both series having multiple cover variations.

Update: So I went to the comic book store to pick up my copy of the first issue of the Haunted Mansion and found out it has three cover variations.

~edit~ After looking inside the comic book I found out that there are actually 5 cover variants

Another comic was made a few years back and I grabbed this at Once Upon a Toy based on Space Mountain...

I'm not necessarily a comic book fan, but I'm gaga for the Haunted Mansion. I bought the issue using the Marvel app on iOS and it looks STUNNING on the iPad Pro, the artwork is extremely high quality. I thought the content was a bit corny, but as a mansion fan I ate it up and will happily buy future issues.

Picked up Haunted Mansion #1 today.

It's not bad just kind of lackluster and drawn out. Feels like they're not really sure where they're going with the story yet. Really this issue seems like prologue and the whole thing could have been condensed into 5 pages. I might wait until it's in a collection if the next issues proves to be the same way.

I'm not much of a comic book nut, but HM is one my favorite attractions, so I moved quickly and now own all 5 of the cover variants that are available outside of the parks. Now I want...need...must have...the Disney Parks exclusive cover variant with the Marc Davis concept art. Sadly, I won't be in the parks again until the end of April. I'm not even sure they're still on the shelves now, much less will be there when I'm there in April.

Anyone here want to help a guy out? At very least give me a clue which store it's in (I'm guessing Memento Mori), and best case pick one up and send it to me? Of course, I'll be happy to pay for the comic, a stiff envelope, shipping, and throw in a little extra for your troubles. Send me a DM and we'll discuss.
