Haunted mansion change?

I'm in disney at the moment, and i have been on the haunted mansion in WDW around 6 times on this trip, and each time the lighting is significantly different, sometimes it's very foggy (i don't remember that on my last trip!) and they definitely turned or are testing the magic band RFID chip at the end now, but sometimes the screen was blank. Any ideas?

If it's Magic Band stuff, who knows!

I'm sure you've already thought of this. But the lighting outside the Mansion makes a fairly significant change on how the internal lighting is perceived; Darker outside, seems different on the inside.

Since you're there, make the "sacrifice" of riding it several more times to see if you see a pattern.
