Hey Everyone,
Does anybody have any news on the camears that were rumoured to have been put in the Haunted mansion?
has anyone been to the Mk recently to confirm the rumor?

Alos, with other rides like splash mountain or tower of terror that takes your picture on the ride, does anyone knwo how much it is to buy them?

thanks!

I haven't heard this rumor yet. I don't think it is true, because they would have had to close the ride to put them in and we haven't seen this.

Also, cameras on a slow moving ride like that wouldn't really be a great idea. How many people would really buy it.

:)

I know they are already installed and I know they tested them Wed.(no pun) night. This comes from a source who knows what they are talking about.

They wouldnt have to close the ride to install cameras...it can be done when the parks are closed in about 3 days...

Where on the ride will they be located? At the reversal of the cars, at the end with you get a hitchhiker or some other place?

The rumors are false. I did the walk through last night and nothing has changed in the hitchiking ghost scene we still have 4 infrared sensors for the guest with disabilities asisted listening device and reading device, and one ir sensor for the magical moments pins. In addition I have gone down into the dog track (where the hitchiking ghosts are and there is no type of picture capturing devices or imaging devices, and to even tripple check my confirmation I asked several of the maintainence men who work in our attraction and they have heard of no such thing. So unless they are invisible or really tiny that I can't see when I walk through at night cleaning up with the lights on, they are not there! TRUST ME! I FREAKIN WORK THERE :)

Our maitenance guys didn't notice our set-dressing. So it is possible they're in the dark.

New blinky shiny things show up in dark places on our set all the time - so it is possible.

Well it looks like I owe you all a bit of an appology. They are installing cameras, however their are well diguised as 4 boxes prior to the first mirror. Tonight we had an imagineer come in and I got to talk to him and he told me what they were up to. Resort guests will recieve an ir pin that they wear on the attraction and it will take a digital picture of them, prior to getting to the mirrors, and input ghosts surrounding the buggy, there will be no flash. The images are then sent to a central area where, eventually other pictures of the resort guests will be and when the guest returns to their hotel they may purchase the picture. They hope to install more of these so resort guests may have a photo portfolio of their vacation in all candid shoots. And once again us operations cast members are left out of the loop and what they are doing to our attraction, but hey I guess it doesn't matter since they never tell us anyways like the other day when our maglocks were broken so we had to use a sliding dead bolt.

I said this last month and got nothing but grief as a result. It's all part of the Destination Disney program. Also, there is a lot more to come. I am reluctant to go into detail due to the previous harassment.

Don´t cm´s there do recognition tours to check if everything is working before openning every day? I remember we had to do it as soon as we started our shift at the River of Time in the Mexican Pavillion and check if all lights were on (or of), if music was on, and all the screens were lit, there was no garbage left, etc. In case anything was wrong, we would call maintenance asap to check it out before 11am when guests started riding.

Go ahead. :D This idea sounds really interesting. Where else are they "thinking" about putting them (so you don't get any grief)? To me, although it sounds like another way to make money, it's a really good idea. Isn't this what tourism is all about?? I'd love to hear where else they want to put these cameras.

 :sohappy: :D

This idea does sound great, I would love to hear more info if anybody has it. I would love to see pictures ALL of my family (not minus one for the picture taker...usually me) on rides and around the park.

when i was at blizzard beach a couple of weeks ago, there were people all over the park just takin pictures, then handing you a wristband so you could view them later...
i thought it was a cool idea...but not of the group of us in bathing suits with nasty hair LOL

maybe the pics on the tamer rides would be a better idea
i would buy them...
i tried to make it a goal to buy all of my on ride photos last trip...the only one im missing is the splash mountain one... and we have our theory's on why........
