Let's hope there is a reason I'm posting this in the RUMOR thread! :eek:

Haunted High School Musical to Reach Big Screen in '08

A big screen film, entitled Haunted High School Musical, will be the next entry in Disney's wildly successful "High School Musical" franchise, according to a Reuters article.

The film will be released in 2008, although no other information - including that of plot - has been revealed.

"'High School Musical' skyrocketed to heights never before achieved by a TV movie, so it's only fitting that its next incarnation should be as a major motion picture," stated Gary Marsh, president of entertainment, Disney Channel Worldwide.

me too, i think that it will be funny. i mean it is good for young kids. most of the people on here who do not like it are probibly 20s and older. it was not made for us. some of us like it. but it was made for pre-teens and teens and has done well. the fact that they rewrote it so high schools can preform it. so i think it is a great alternitive to what eles these kids are watching

Disney, would be stupid not to captilize on this franchise, with the amount of money they made on it last year, and the continued sell out's of the HSM Concert tour, untill it starts dieing down they will continue to try and profit from it. My DD (soon to be 12) can't wait for #2 to come out and to make it a little different the Haunted slant would I think be a little better than re-running the same plot line. I'm sure #3 will depend on how #2 does this summer.

Ahh, what?

I'm not one of those people that bash HSM, in fact, I pretty much am addicted to it.

But Haunted High School Musical? That sounds pretty awful!

How about a Shadow the Hedgehog themed HSM when Troy gets amesia which his memory goes to Sharpay and he has to save the world whenever he betrays his pals or not. It sounds like a silly story :ROFLOL: ! It should be directed by Danny DeVito or Will Smith.
