Has the launch sequence of RnRC changed since opening?

My older brother was telling me that there originally was no countdown...Wikipedia says that two of the trains always had a countdown and the others were added in 2007.

If there was no countdown, was it just a random switch from red to green on the light? Can anyone illuminate me on this? @marni1971

The live recording from all 5 trains I have circa 2004 backs this up - 3 had no countdown, 2 did.
