It's a bit more complicated than that. The projection is essentially interactive and has a feedback system. What you're describing would be a storm trooper shooting you with a blaster. What this system allows is for you to block the blaster bolt with your lightsaber and reflect it back to the shooter.

My only real gripe would be if this turns out to be another high-priced "boutique" experience for the wealthy. That's a worst-case scenario. Hopefully it's more like an upgrade for a Jedi Academy-type show, included with admission, and allows anyone willing to get to the gate early enough to have a chance at participating.
