Has Anyone Used DVC-Rental?

Hi all, I have been to WDW many times before, but never actually planned a trip. I am planning to go with my girlfriend in May, and she knows a couple of people who have used DVC-Rental. However, it seems a little strange to me, so I want to see what your opinions are on this or if anyone here has used it. It seems to be, either a check can be sent or use Paypal. I do somewhat question the integrity of this site, though, they do have some good reviews, but it is the internet so anything can be made up.

Anyway, you can click here to go to their website.

Thank you for any thoughts/opinions on this.

Never have used DVC-rental but I have used Dvcrequest (ie. David's) once and DVCrentalstore four times. If you want a recommendation, use DVCrentalstore. You can pay in installments and they don't have a 3% across the boarder fee that David's has (since they are based in Canada) and DVCrentalstore does not charge you to pay them via Paypal. Both David's and DVCRentalStore are large companies with great reputations. I don't know much about dvc-rental but I would think that being not so big that there is not the pool of members to rent from that the other two have.

We are first time DVC point renters. We went with David's after much research. Despite charging the $105 deposit, they booked the resort immediately instead of extra email dialogue to confirm the reservation. Plus they have online support chat - this is big for me as I like quick communication without using a phone. They were able to get us into WL in December within 24 hours. Couldn't be happier.

Although as @Wngo905 mentions, you can pay in installments with DVCrentalstore if you don't have the lump sum available right away. We had the money saved all ready and they required full payment after securing our reservation. I would have paid the same amount regardless of the site I choose.

Also DVCrentalstore has "travel insurance" (point protection plan). It is a little more pricey than a third party travel insurance and has a tiered refund approach. I choose third party insurance - paid less and got better coverage.

Enjoy your trip!

I used David's for an upcoming stay this September. So far I have been pleased. The amount is due upfront, but you can use PayPal to pay and PayPal has PayPal Credit which gives you 6 months 0% financing.

I haven't used the website you listed but did used davids dvc. It was a very easy transaction with no glitches. Communication was excellent. In order to get the dining plan (which would probably apply to any rental company) they suggest buying a disney gift card for the dining plan and then the DVC owner uses the card to pay for the plan. That is a whole other debate because the dining plan is convenience vs real savings.

we are now DVC owners after seeing the savings with DVC.
