Think I have decided to do an in room celebration myself for my daughters birthday.Just can't bring myself to pay what Disney Florist is asking. Has anyone ever taken un inflated balloons with them and asked the CMs at their hotel (we are staying at the CR) to have them blown up?

For my nephew and daughters first trip we did our own in room celebration. We didn't use balloons we had a beach towel for each of them a stuffed mickey, some large confettie (easy for us to clean up we didn't leave it for the maid), and Mickey feet prints (made of paper). We actually set up the celebration after we saw Mickey in the park on the first day so it ment more then just showing up to a decorated room. My sister just snuck up to the room while the rest of us browsed the gift shop. When I asked my nephew after that how Mickey knew where to bring the stuff and how he got in he said "He owns the place so he has a key" so cute coming from a 6 year old.

Do you mean "blow it up" by blowing into it or do you think they have a helium tank back there?

You can buy balloons in the parks or from the Disney florist. Grocery stores have them, too. But I don't think the desk clerks blow up balloons. Maybe I'm wrong. Good luck!

My thought process here was to get a big bunch of balloons to decorate our room just like if we were at home. I thought they might be able to help me gain access to a helium tank for a fee. I would never expect them to do it free.
