Has anyone ever got their hair cut at the Harmony Barber Shop in Magic Kingdom? If you have please share your experiance with all. Also how much is a hair cut? Correct me if I am wrong But I believe they have a special program for a childs first hair cut. The child receives a special Disney certificate and they give you a lock of the child's hair.

I don't really remember how much was it, and I know I used my CM discount, but I was very pleased with the result! And the barbers are fun, they keep joking among them and they don't let you see the result untill they're finished.

Yes they do have a special thing for kids getting there first haircut (or at lease they did at one time). 7 years ago we had my sons first haircut done there and it is one of our best memories at the parks. The whole event was super special and made that way by the wonderful people in the shop. Our son received a special set of Mickey ears and a certificate for his first haircut. We have gone back and had his haircut one other time (2 years ago) and they even did some special stuff that time (confetti and fun pictures). I don't remember the price but it was not much more that a cut anywhere else. We went down in July and had a look at the new barber shop and it looked great. Hope this helps.

Haircuts range between 12-15 dollars.

For a first haircut they will give the child a certificate, special pair of Mickey ears, and give you a locket of the hair. There is also plenty of Pixie Dust for the occasion.

I started geting my haircut there when I was a cast member in '94 and I still go there now. It cost me $15 for the cut now FYI and the drive is a little out of the way, but to me its worth every penny. Plus it works as a great excuse (as if you needed one) to go to MK

The most recent edtion of Disney Magazine (Fall 2002) has and article about this. Lots of fun if you want to check it out, but this might make it more popular in the future and harder to get in.
