Hard Rock Hotel changes to Lowes program

I was told by central reservations last night that the Hard Rock Hotel will soon be withdrawing from the Lowes membership program.

This means no little gifts, free newspaper and no upgrades. All current reservations will be honoured and there was no clear time given when this change would come into effect.

Hopefully the line about 'All current reservations will be honoured' will include stay 4 nights and get free tickets seeing as I booked up for this offer about 3 weeks ago.

I just phoned to put my Loewsfirst membership number into my reservation for the Hard Rock Hotel and they told me that the HRH was no longer participating in the programme. They advise me that there was a new Hard Rock membership that I could join up to on check-in with new rewards called "All access program". Just had a look on their web site

but it cost $24.99 to join. At least the Loewsfirst membership was free.

I got membership for free following a stay. Its worth it if you eat at the Hrad Rock cafes, collect your points and get free merchandise.

Never seen them offer hotel discounts, though there have been Nessie like rumours of such on line for years.
