My wife is sound asleep. She feels something on her arm. She stops snoring. SHE IS AWAKE! Unwilling to open her eyes just yet, the thing on her arm continues. It's a soft tapping. She opens her eyes ever so slightly and sees Stitch's face. She closes her eyes quickly but it's too late. The tapping on her arm gets harder. Now it's almost pushing her. She opens her eyes again and looks above the plush Stitch to me, who is also staring at her. She asks, "What?" I ask her if she knows what today is. She whines back "No" and closes her eyes again. Stitch's plush hand starts tapping her again. She opens her eyes. I ask "When we have kids am I going to have to remind you when it's their birthday too?" Now she sits up a little. "Huh?" she asks. I point down at Stitch and I put 2 fingers up in the air. She throws her head back down into her pillow. "LEAVE ME ALONE!" she cries.
2 years ago today, Lilo & Stitch hit theaters nationwide. I remember seeing it for the first time like it was yesterday and yet it seems like so much longer than just 2 years since Stitch has been in our lives. Well, happy birthday Stitch. At least one of us remembered
