So It really doesn't come as a surprise to me that the movie is already getting good reviews.

"I found myself completely taken back to teenage-hood for this film - the same way in which films like "Bring It On," "Mean Girls" and "Clueless" did for me. It's the kind of movie that you'll likely be singing along with and quoting to friends for years to come. It has heart and passion, and it's just plain a fun ride."

I personally cracked up watching the trailer. It just strikes me as a fun teen movie with sweet family moments and hilarious scenes showing how awkward it can be to have a crush on someone. For those that haven't seen the trailer yet the film is about Miley heading back to Tennessee since her dad thinks that fame is getting to her head. She ends up falling for this guy she grew up with, very cute if you ask me!

Have not seen the trailer... but we'll probably go see the movie anyway - for just one reason: my daugher is 7 years old! But I am looking forward to it mostly b/c I know my DD will be excited to see the movie.

I think you'll enjoy it - I haven't really watched her TV show in awhile but I'm still looking forward to the film. I think the movie has a lot of good lessons besides just being funny. Miley seems to be much more mature in this film and I love that her and her dad get to spend more time together back in Tennessee- looks really adorable. I'm going to an advanced screening with some co-workers tomorrow so I'll let you know how it goes!

Have you listened to the soundtrack at all? So far I am really into The Climb and I get a kick out of the Hoedown Throwdown. Billy Ray's single, "Back to Tennessee" has been on repeat as well :)

Sorry I think I have posted in most of the HM threads but it was a massive hit in the US as on it's opening weekend it brought in $34 million dollars.
