My daughter is crazy about the new show "Handy Manny" on the Disney Channel. We are going to Disney World on New Year's Eve and she wants to meet him. Does anyone know if Manny is a character in the parks yet.

We just came back on Sunday and we were character hounds this last trip. Unfortunately, we did not see Manny anywhere. He may be too new to be out in the parks yet.

My son is OBSESSED with it too. I assume there are alot of kids out there that love the show and my DH enjoys watching it with my son too. I have been searching high and low for merchandise for Chirstmas and haven't found anything. I remember it took some time before the Little Einsteins had characters in MGM and to have their own merchandise. I've been seeing Mickey Mouse Clubhouse stuff around so it's only a matter of time before we begin to see Manny out and about.

I was at WDW in the middle of September and we had our lunch at the Play and Dine at the Hollywood 'n Vine at MGM and even though the premier of Handy Manny wasn't going to air for a few weeks, they were all singing the song...so I was already singing the song by the time my son and I started watching it

My nephew is in love with Manny too! I wish I could find a Handy Manny doll for him for Christmas!

My daughter is in that club as well. She keeps asking for "Handy Manny Tools" for Christmas and there aren't any toys out yet that I've found. Does anyone know of any I may have missed?

It is a cartoon show on Disney Channel. He is like "Bob the Builder", but he is latino. They use alot of spanish words to teach kids. The voice is done by Wilmer Vallderama (Fez on 70's show). I think he also produces the show. My 4 yr old likes it.

Yep, it is too early. I think Handy Manny has only been on the tube for a few months, if that. I think its too new for Disney to risk developing a product line for it. They generally like to wait a while before they devote capital to a new, non-traditional Disney type character. That being said, there is not that much stuff for most of the Playhouse Disney offerings. Pooh is about the only thing that you will find alot of stuff for. Stanley, Rolly Polly Ollie, Jo Jo Circus, etc, is not well represented in the product line in the parks. If it is, I have not seen it.

When my daughter was in the "Jo-Jo" phase, we did get to meet her at MGM. At that time we were able to find a lot of Jo-Jo stuff too. I guess the show had been out a while though.
You're right about Mickey Mouse Club House, she has it on her Christmas list.

But I could have sworn that Jo Jo's Circus was in the park only months after the show premiered. She was also added to Playhouse Disney: Live On Stage very quickly.

Jo Jo Circus began broadcasting in 2003. It was not in Playhouse Disney Live on Stage in November of 2003 (Bear, Rolli Polli Ollie, Stanley, and Pooh were the offerings). We did not go in 2004. In November 2005 the show had been changed and JoJo had replaced Rolli Polli. Now I am not sure when it was changed out, but I am not sure it was very soon after it had gone on the air.
