Halloween party tickets transferrable/resale

Hello. Two of our four may not be able to go, but since the purchase process on the website requires me to select a friend/family for each ticket, will the tickets be transferrable/resellable? We've all been to WDW (many times), so they have our fingerprints and could verify PersonA is using PersonA's ticket since they're linked to a person, even though we're currently not passholders.

Am I going to have to eat the $200 for those two tickets if those two folks can't go, or can I resell them (face value or a little less)?

I found a post about reselling tickets, but it's from 2006, so I'm sure times have changed.

I've never needed to resell a ticket so I have no idea of the official policy but I will say this- be very careful about what you do with those party ticket cards. They actually function in the same way as a MagicBand and they link to the account of the original person they were assigned to.

Thanks Hanna. Yeah, they are linked to a person, so I suppose the only way to resell one is if the friend/family person it's assigned to has never been to Disney and never scanned his/her fingerprint. And if I sold the ticket to Joe Smith, Joe's fingerprint would be tied to that friend/family member's account once Joe uses the ticket at the MK. Ugh.

You're welcome. You should call the reservation line or do an online chat on the My Disney Experience page. Unfortunately you might be stuck with these tickets but check through the official channels just to see if anything can be done. If the answer is no, you probably need to just let it go. Sorry but you don't want to play around with these since they access other things.
