Halloween Horror Nights - Over 18's?

Just been browsing on Theme Park Review, and came across Universal's Halloween Horror Nights.
Now I know this link is for Hollywood, but is Orlando the same, it seems pretty graphic to me?!

I'd quite like to go but I'm such a wimp am I just gonna be totally freaked out by this?

Couple more questions, when you buy a ticket for HHN's, does this include your admission to both parks? You don't have to have a day ticket as well do you?

Also what times does the event run? (eg 7pm - midnight?)

And does anyone know if there is a cut out point for being picked up by someone like Mears to take us back to our Disney resort, and do they run all night?

Graphic? Well, yes, it's a horror oriented Halloween event. Almost all haunted houses are graphic to some extent. Should it be 18+? I certainly don't think so. It's all clearly fake and most anyone has access to R rated horror movies these days anyway. The only truly adult oriented thing at the event is the Bill & Ted show. But even then, the jokes are nothing most teenagers haven't already heard a million times.

HHN runs from 6:30 to 2:00 on Fridays and Saturdays, 6:30 to midnight all other nights. These are normal operating hours. They may be tweaked whenever there's larger-than-expected crowds. When you buy HHN admission, you're paying for entrance to whichever park it's being held in that year for the duration of the event. Select normal attractions will be running during the event, in addition to the HHN-specific attractions. You don't need day admission to visit HHN, although you don't have to leave the park and can partake in Stay & Scream if you're already there for the day.

Definitely not over 18. I saw more little kids this year than any other year. It kind of seemed like they were kind of/sort of catering to the kids by not making it too scary.

Am I right in thinking that week nights will be quieter?

And is it just held in one of the parks not both?

I just thought of another question - how do they set up for HHN's, aren't the parks open all day as well?

The park is pretty much already setup. They just take a lot of stuff off the street, close the gates at 5, clear everyone out, and transform everything into HHN.
As for the kids....It is not recommended for people under the age of 13. It is not geared for kids, and if you are pretty squeamish, then you may not want to go. Pyschoscareapy......crappy house.....not in quality, in smell.
Die In, takes a recreation of Hellraiser.....it gets pretty graphic, and the scares are there. For someone who goes year after year, it may not be too scary, but if you have think that ToT at mgm is scary, and Haunted Mansion gives you the willies....well....this may not be the place for you.

I'm not particularly squeamish, but I just get wimpy over stuff, I'm sure I'd be fine, just have to be brave! :lol:
