Halloween entry

Hey all, I'm new to this and will be in Disney world in sept 2015.
We have gotten 5 day passes and we are hoping to get tickets for one of the Halloween nights while there.
My question is - if you get a ticket for the Halloween night do you need to use up a day entry to get in or does the Halloween ticket count as your entry for that evening.
I'm looking at is as using it on a day where we can have a chill day and go to the park at night.
I'm keen to experience it all as here in Australia halloween isn't as big of a holiday to celebrate.
Thanks in advance
x Karlie

You can do exactly what you're hoping to do. The Party Ticket serves as park admission too, but only after whatever time they let you enter for the party these days (4pm, perhaps?).

So, you can chill at the resort during the day, and use the party ticket to get in that evening, leaving 5 days on your tickets for full day touring.

Thank you to you both. That means you can get 6 days to explore rather than just 5. We are trying to squeeze in as much as we can in ten days.
So many adults dress up? Its going to be hard traveling across the world and fit a costume in but i don't care I want to be a big kid!

Oh absolutely, adults (big kids) dress up! My mother and I (P.S. I'm 48) always have our Halloween costumes on when we go to MNSSHP, and we always have a blast! Last year she was a witch and I was Thor. After scoring major amounts of candy and touring MK, we like to stop for a couple cocktails at the lobby bar of our hotel (Bonnet Creek Hilton, HIGHly recommended) and every one there got a kick out of our costumes too.

Go wild, and enjoy!

BTW, awesome icon! Jason Momoa, right?

Yea everyone dresses up, the wife bought me a woody outfit and I was worried I would look a bit silly which we all did while sat on the bus to the party but when we got there and normal guests where kicked out everyone was dressed and I really enjoyed it we ended up with 4 bags of candy, some of the candy stops had very little queues so the CM were telling you just to go back through. I was would I was going to get stopped at customs smuggling chocolate back to the UK lol

I am excited for the candy, and the parades, we were thinking of spending the extra money to have dinner then get the ''preferred' seating at things, but I have plenty of time to look into that.

Our accom is booked, tickets booked waiting till may I think to book tickets for Halloween and I'll be one happy camper

You do know that after the first four days, an extra day on a ticket will only cost $10/ea, right?

I'm not suggesting that you don't relax and just go to the park after 4PM with your MNSSHP tickets, just that for an extra $10 you can add seven or eight hours of park time that day. The same applies to the rest of your ten days there...

We arrive at sometime after midnight on the 19th so technically the 20th. So we were hoping to make that day a day to get a little sleep then go to Walmart stock up on some things so hoping that day we can get tickets for the Halloween nights.
We will be travelling for about 24 hours and I know I'll probably be like a big kid a keen to go, but to be nice to my friends who aren't as big disney fans like me i was willing to let them rest the first day.

We also have a two day pass for universal and to throw in a day of shopping at the outlets and we have looked into another theme park we want to check out is going to be pretty busy, but I'm up for it.

So this way I was thinking I get 6 entry's into that park instead of the 5 we were going to sart with, if all goes according to plan.

That's awesome- I love going to cons. What, if I may ask, are your costume plans?

Jensenrick im hoping to go a Ariel or Belle. I had Belles ball gown made for my 30th but it's going to be to big to cart around so I'm looking at her normal blue dress or the dress Ariel wears doing the tour of Kingdom with prince Eric.
If all else fails I'm going to be Jessie from toy story.
