I've heard that director Henry Selick shared his idea for a potential prequel recently as the movie turns 30. I think it would be great to have an origin story of Jack Skellington. What do you all think?
I saw the Nightmare Before Christmas in a theater last Monday. It was a lot of fun but does look really simplistic compared to Selick's later movies like Coraline and Missing Link. I'd rather see him make more new stuff than rehash/cash grab a sequel.
Coraline's story is a bitbjumbled but it has some absolutely spectacular animation sequences in it.
I haven't seen Missing Link but have heard great things. I agree that he should focus on other u ique projects. Create a new hit vs. Potentially sullying an old one.
